Hello,

I have specialised in over/under bets on the goals scored in a match. Since you can always be wrong in one or more games, I mainly play with 2system bets, 2 out of 3 or 2 out of 6.

I look for exclusively those outcomes in the over/under stuff that the bookie rates at 1.65 – 1.75, i.e. to which he attributes a probability of 60 to 70% I then combine these in blocks of 3 or 6, mostly in the 3s. The odds may not be outstanding; however, if only 2 of the matches are correct, you are about out your stake again; if 3 are correct, you have tripled your stake.

An example from my current bets:

bet from 14.12.05 08:31
No. Match Date Type Tip Odds Bank Result
1.FC K’lautern – E.Frankfurt 14.12.05 18:00 Under/Over (2.5) Over 1.65
LR Ahlen – H.Rostock 14.12.05 18:00 Total (2) Over 1.70
1.FC Saarbrücken – Dyn.Dresden 14.12.05 18:00 Under/Over (2.5) Over 1.70
Bet: 10.00 EUR Win: 0.00 EUR Fee: none System: 2 of 3

Since all hit numbers were correctly typed, I came up with a increase of a good 200% (Row 1: 9.35; Row 2: 9.35; Row 3: 9.63; Total: 28.33). As can be seen from the example, I concentratemyself mainly on the German national leagues Otherwise I quite like to play the second and thirdclasses in England, also in terms of the actual match outcomes win/loss. These are very tight classes, where almost no home win goes under odds of 1.8-2.2. I usually play “blind”, i.e. without much consultation of statistics or histories.

Otherwise I play a lot of single games Simple strategy: Without a lot of statistical instruments intuitive typing It goes without saying that Bayern is a gift at Kaiserslautern at 1.7 (example from last April). With the “strategy” I increased a stake from originally 300 to 8000 euros (25 games in 7 weeks), only to fall flat on my face again.

Basically, I don’t believe that there is a one-size-fits-all betting strategy. It has a lot to do with luck You can fall flat on your face with favourites just as easily as you can make nice profits with outsiders. Last Friday I bet on two 1.2 favourites in home games in Argentina and Portugal. Result: a draw (odds 5) and a home defeat (odds 8.5).

You can see: Even in the favourites’ games, perhaps only 80% win.
