Here I present my betting strategy “Football betting excluding the top favourites”.

I am not the only one who has noticed that people often get it wrong when betting on football. You can see this in your earnings, but also when you take part in various betting games. If you always bet on the favourite and that favourite would always win, then no one would need to go to work. But it’s not that simple!

I have tried out a surprising form of football betting and, after the first few weeks of testing, I have made quite reasonable profits, some of them surprisingly high. How do I do it?

I don’t bet on the favourite (the lowest odds), but on the other two possible outcomes of the game. I bet on a draw and on the higher odds. I bet 1 euro each on the draw and on the higher odds, i.e. on the supposed underdog team. So the total stake per match is 2 euros. And now something very important, the most important thing of all: games in which the favourite has odds of less than 1.50 or less are too clear for me. That’s why I avoid these games.

Let’s take the recently played 12th Bundesliga matchday as an example: odds e.g. from Oddset, which are not even high

I would have bet one euro each on a draw and on a guest victory. So:
Bet: 2 Euro
Profit: 3.50

Total bet: 10 Euro
Total profit: 10,45 Euro

Now you think: Man, why should I try this for so little yield, but: this match day went surprisingly badly (still you are in the plus) and you must not forget: At Oddset the odds are kept cruelly low. With almost every provider on the net you get significantly higher odds for outsider tips, and as I said: this match day was a very bad one for me.
