Here is my own strategy based on betting on football draws (“X”) and three events of other sports.

There are a total of 9 tips that are played á 1 €, i.e., total stake at most 9 euros per week. Well suited for those on a tight budget.

On a draw, there are usually odds of 3.2 upwards (at tipico). In order to compensate for the stake with a single combination of 4, you need total odds of 2.8125 for the other 3 events. Consequently, you have to combine 3 events in such a way that this value is approximately reached. For example, by 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 (odds 2.744). For this I often like to take favourites from the fields of: Boxing, American football, rugby, cricket or tennis.

If, for example, you play every match of the 1st Bundesliga on “X” and combine the other 3 matches, you get nine 4-combinations. Strong home favourites such as Leverkusen, Hoffenheim, Schalke or Bayern can also be omitted, which further minimises the stakes. There is at least 1 draw on almost every Bundesliga matchday (the balance for the 2nd Bundesliga looks even better).

Let’s assume we have the following results on any given matchday:

Match 1: 1 – Bet “X” with odds 3.2 and the additional matches 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 = total odds 8.78
Match 2: X – Bet “X” with odds 3.4 and the additional matches 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 = total odds 9.33 (win)
Match 3: 1 – Bet “X” with odds 4.0 and the additional matches 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 = total odds 10.98
Match 4: 1 – Bet “X” with odds 7.5 and the additional matches 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 = total odds 20.58
Match 5: 2 – Bet “X” with odds 3.3 and the additional matches 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 = total odds 9.05
Match 6: X – Bet “X” with odds 3.2 and the additional matches 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 = Total odds 8.78 (win)
Match 7: 2 – Bet “X” with odds 3.4 and the additional matches 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 = total odds 9.33
Match 8: 1 – Bet “X” with odds 3.3 and the additional matches 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 = total odds 9.05
Match 9: X – Bet “X” with odds 3.2 and the additional matches 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 = total odds 8.78 (win)

The games 2, 6 and 9 would have been hit. Per 1€ stake we would have won a total of 26.89 €. With a total stake of 9 €. (Even if there had only been one draw, we would have had an almost unbalanced balance. With 2 draws it would have returned about double the amount).

So the only important thing is to put the 3 extra matches (favourites) together with skill. If you choose low odds for this (1.2-1.35), then you either have to hope for 2 draws for a net profit or you bet less than 9 matches so that you need lower odds to balance.

If one of the additional matches (favourites) “slips”, then you have only lost up to 9 €.
